More than 300 social luminaries and notable figures from all over the world
attended the inaugural Taiwan Tatler Ball. Hosts Barrie Goodridge, CEO of
Edipresse Asia, and Celine Chang, managing director of Taiwan Tatler,
welcomed guests on arrival. After entering the ballroom of the Grand Hyatt
Taipei, famed local singer Aska Yang gave a performance that thrilled
onlookers.

The night peaked with the unveiling of the Taiwan Tatler awardees. Dr. John
Yang won the award Most Charitable Force; the Best Promoter of Arts and
Culture award went to Maggie Tsai; Wei-lun Chiang received the Best Promoter
of Urban Aesthetics award; Nicholas G. Winsor was honoured as Most Gracious
Host. Then, as dinner was served, the dazzling dance performances entertained
all guests in attendance.
After a magnificent evening, guests were asked to move into the lounge area
for the after party and enjoy the jazz music performed by the live band. As
the evening drew to a close, there was a palpable excitement for next year's
gala.
